All photographs on this site are digital. Most have been taken with a
Canon 8 megapixel digital SLR. Some - those not available in 12x18 format
- were photographed with an Olympus 3 megapixel camera; I take this one places
that I don't want to risk taking my good camera, such as canoeing in the
Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota. A very few were
photographed using my film camera, and have been scanned at high resolution into
digital format directly from slides. Although they are digital, I don't
fool with the images other than changing exposure parameters, which could be
done in a darkroom.
The prints are produced using a wide-carriage Canon photo-quality printer,
using Canon Photo Paper Pro and Canon inks. Both paper and pigments are
archival quality; they will provide many years of enjoyment, given proper care.
All photos are printed on stock that is a bit larger than the image; this
makes it much easier to mat them. I sign my photos on the white border
using an archival pen that will not damage the print.
